Akranta ready for release

Akranta, a short film based on the decade long people’s war and its affect in the development of society and the country as a whole, is ready for screening.

"With this, we have tried to portray how the people’s war affected the nation’s development. Moreover, this venture also has touched the issues like the problem of border encroachment, foreign interference to the nation and the aftermath of the war in the mental and physical state of the people," said Jibesh Yonjan, the flick’s writer and director.

He further informed that the film has also tried to expose why there is a need of secured border.

"We have used few actors and less dialogue as we wanted to unearth the bitter truth through pictures," said producer Jeevan Ale.

Kabita Ale, Desbhakta Khanal, Ganesh Lama and Apsara Karki are the lead actors in the movie presented by Filmoliv Pvt. Ltd. Similarly, Suman Tandukar and Subah Shreshta ‘Prayas’are men behind cinematography and art direction respectively.
