Shop Smart and Save the Disappointments

If you decide to just go out on your own shopping for a vehicle you may end up disappointed and having an overall bad experience. This article will guide help you make the process much easier and stress free.

When first arriving at the dealership you will most likely be greeted by a sale person. If you are wanting to browse the lot for a minute let the sales person know that you just want to look around for a minute. Once you have looked around find your sales person that first approached you and tell him or her that you would like to get qualified. Get qualified before you test drive any vehicle, this will save you lots of time and disappointment.

After your sales person completes your application with you he or she will take it to the sales manager or F&I department. The finance department will then run a credit report and fax your information out to several lending institutions. The lenders will then fax back an approval or denial letter. If you get say 2 approvals the dealership will typically go with the one that has the lowest interest rate.
